Presently\, Josh is continuing his training with Ustaad Ali Akbar Khan’s sons Ustaad Aashish Khan and Sri Alam Khan\, as well as his senior disciple Sri Anindya Banerjee. Josh has received guidance from Pt. Swapan Chaudhuri and Pt. Tejendra Majumdar and has also learned tabla with Pt. Anindo Chatterjee.\n\nJosh is also dedicated to teaching\, holding regular classes in Portland and throughout the Pacific Northwest both through his music school\, Saath Sangat\,  as well as at Lewis and Clark College and Reed College.\n\n\nVIVEK PANDYA\n\nBorn in Long Island\, NY\, to a musical family\, Vivek Pandya is a child prodigy and youngest student of PT Anindo Chatterjee at the age of 5.  Vivek was invited as a child artist by late Pandit Arvind Mulgoankar ji to play tabla solo in Ustaad Amir Hussein Khan’s 47th barsi concert in 2016 held annually in Mumbai. He was also invited by Dean of MS University School of Music as a child artist at the lecture series  on characteristics of Farukhabad Gharana. He has accompanied several upcoming talented musicians and established artists. His tonal quality\, clarity of bols\, speed and musicality has been recognized by musicians and music lovers all around the world.

Shantilal Shah a long time resident of Houston and one of the most revered Tabla Gurus at IMS Tabla School with over 100 students of all ages. He is a senior disciple of Padma Vibhushan Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia- a musical genius. Vivek founded the ‘Bansuri Utsav’\, India’s music festival exclusively dedicated to the flute\, where renowned flautists from across the country perform. \nBeing from a small town in the interiors of Maharashtra\, Vivek was well aware of the challenges young\, and talented musicians faced in India. Her great grandfather Pandit Antubua Joshi was an eminent court musician in the erstwhile state of Aundh\, Satara District. \n\n\n\n\nGajananbua’s gayaki is among the most technically complex and aesthetically refined. This is the gayaki that Apoorva and Pallavi trained in for more than three decades. DESCRIPTION:Hindustani vocal by Pandit Raghunandan Panshikar\, disciple of the late Kishori Amonkar ji. \nTabla: Bharat Kamath\nHarmonium: Suyog Kundalkar \nAbout the Artist\nBorn into a lineage of Sanskrit scholars and classical musicians and as the son of the eminent Marathi stage actor and producer Prabhakar Panshikar\, Raghunandan Panshikar’s aptitude for music was recognized and fostered from an early age. \nAt 11\, Raghunandan began his formal study of music in Mumbai under the tutelage of the late Pandit Vasantrao Kulkarni. Six years later\, he commenced training with the doyen of the Jaipur-Atrauli gharana\, Gaan Saraswati Smt. Kishori Amonkar. Over the next 20 years up to the year 2000\, under Kishori-ji’s keen guidance\, he worked painstakingly to imbibe her complex and unique musical style through rigorous daily riyaaz. During this time\, Raghunandan was also fortunate to learn from Kishori-ji’s mother and guru\, the late Gaan Tapaswini Smt. Mogubai Kurdikar\, who had learned directly from the the late Sangeet Samrat Ustad Alladiya Khan\, founder of the Jaipur-Atrauli gharana. By training with both Mogubai-ji and Kishori-ji\, Raghunandan achieved an authenticity in many aspects of the Jaipur-Atrauli style – a full throated akaar\, dazzling taans\, a sophisticated use of techniques such as meend and gamak\, and a clever grasp of the intricacies of layakari. \nHowever\, it is sometimes very difficult to keep a truly creative soul bound within the walls of a single school. Today\, Raghunandan’s ‘Gayaki’ has evolved into a unique and original style enriched immensely by influences of several contemporary maestros. Decades of relentless ‘riyaz’ and complete surrender to Music are now reflecting very clearly in his performances. He has rightfully earned his place among the topmost vocalists of his generation. \nIn addition to a mastery of the presentation of classical raags\, Raghunandan’s command of semi-classical genres (thumri\, ghazal\, bhajan\, abhang\, natya sangeet\, bhaawgeet etc) accounts for his versatility & singularity among Hindustani vocalists. Since music was in her genes\, the task of enhancing her musical understanding and knowledge was taken over by her Father- the one and only Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarthy. He took Kaushiki ji to his mentor and guide – Guru Jnan Prakash Ghosh who accepted Kaushiki ji as “Ganda Bandh Shagird”. Late she resumed her training under her father – Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty. \nKaushiki ji is also trained in Carnatic Music and has occasionally incorporated Carnatic Music in her presentations. \nBesides Music\, she holds a Bachelors Degree in Philosophy with distinctions. \nShe has received many accolades. Hailing from the school of Maihar-Seni Gharana\, Raaginder implements improvisation\, rhythmic patterns\, and the sounds of Indian Classical music on a modified five-string violin. He is deeply embedded into the tradition of Hindustani music through the teachings of great masters like Dr. Sisirkana Dhar Chowdhury and Ustaad Aashish Khan. While keeping that foundation\, Raaginder is also immersed in contemporary music. He has produced several contemporary albums in which the sounds of Indian classical violin and hip-hop music intermingle.
