What’s in Store for 2021
We are happy to inform you that we will begin the 2021 season with a Live Telecast of Hindustani Vocal from Pune by Pt. Raghunandan Panshikar Ji (Senior Disciple of Padma Vibhushan Late Kishori Amonkar Ji) on January 2, 2021 at 8 AM CST with Bharat Kamath on Tabla and Suyog Kundalkar on Harmonium.
In addition, we have (tentatively) planned to host Live Digitally the following artists – both younger generation as well as seasoned veterans who are legends in their own rights. All of these programs are presented jointly with Shadaj.
PT Ulhas Kashalkar
A highly respected Hindustani Classical Vocalist who has mastered all three major ghana’s; Gwalior, Jaipur and Agra. He is the only artists who possesses the ability to switch between three ragas in the course of a single performance. He is a senior Scholar and Guru at ITC Sangeet Research Academy in Kolkata.
Sitarist and Surbahar Maestro PT. Budhaditya Mukherjee
One of the greatest Sitar Players of our time with his intricate vocal style of playing with spectacular speed. He holds a unique distinction of being the ever first artist (not just musician) in history to perform in the House of Commons, London.
Born in the family of traditional legendary musicians, she has an impressive musical lineage and has proudly and responsibly inherited the musical qualities from her grandfather, the late Gayanacharya Pandit Gajananrao Joshi and her great- grandfather Pandit Antubua Joshi, an eminent court musician in the erstwhile state of Aundh, district Satara.
One of the finest among the younger generation artists who gave his first performance at the age of 6. He is trained in the Patiala Gharana style from his father and mother who are both performing artists.
A senior disciple of Ustad Rashid Khan of the Rampur Sahaswan Gharana, one of the top-most vocalists of India today. Gifted with a robust voice Prasad has been regaling the audience with his performances since last few years. Today he is considered as one of the most sought after vocalists in the world of Indian Classical Music.

Children’s Ghar Baithak
A special program for children of IMS Subscribers – a platform for kids under 18 years to perform in a formal setting. IMS started this tradition in mid 90’s and has become a very popular event for children who are training in classical music.

Reduced Membership Fees
We thank you for your continued support in this Pandemic environment where many of our members have been severely affected with loss employment, health issues, etc. Our thoughts and prayers are with those who are affected.
