Vocal Recital By Kruthi Bhat

KRUTHI BHAT:
A Child Prodigy star of Indian Classical Music, Kruthi Bhat is recognized worldwide as a top tier Indian Classical Musician of her generation who moved from Houston to India to take up music full time. Her perfection of sruti, taal, powerful voice control, rich imagination and impeccable aesthetics reflect the timeless values of classicism.
Kruthi has performed extensively at Prestigious platforms all around the Globe and has numerous Titles and Awards to her credit. Kruthi is also a computer science graduate, proficient in Hindustani Classical Music, Indian & Western violin, Bharathanatyam and Acrylic/Pastel painting.
VITTAL RANGAN B – VIOLIN
Accompanying Kruthi on Violin is her musician husband Vittal Rangan – a young acclaimed violinist. Starting at the age of 8, he had his initial violin lessons from Late Sri. RR Keshavamurthy, and later from Sangeetha Kalanidhi Kum A Kanyakumari.
An ‘A’ graded violinist of the All India Radio, Vittal is a recipient of numerous awards including  Best Violinist Award at Kalavanta National Youth Festival – 2014. He has carved a niche for himself by being not only one of the most sought after accompanists, but a fine solo performer as well. Vittal has provided violin support to his Guru Kum. Kanyakumari and has also accompanied great stalwarts and senior musicians.
This is their first appearance with IMS as husband and wife.
PATRI SATISH KUMAR- MRIDANGAM:
Patri was born into a family immersed in the world of Carnatic music to Sri Kesava Rao and Smt. Padmavathi Kesava Rao. Being a third generation musician, he was introduced to the mridangam at the age of 3 by his mother Smt. Padmavathi, a renowned violinist from Vizianagaram. He gave his very first public performance at the tender age of 7. His training was under three legendary gurus – R. Sree RamachandramurthyV.A. Swamy and V. Narasimham.
He has been conferred with the most prestigious Sangeet Natak Akademy award by the Government of India in the year 2020. He has also received an Honorary Doctorate from the University of California, Berkley for his outstanding endeavors in the field of Mridangam and for his special innovations and immense contribution to world music
An “A-Top” graded artist of the All India Radio and Doordarshan, his  specialty is the fine balance between the treble and bass heads, which when played in unison creates an exhilarating experience for the listeners.
He has conceived a new concept titled “GAJAANA” – the ‘Gathi’, ‘Jaathi’ and ‘Nadai’ concept. He also introduced a path-breaking concept to the field of percussion through a blend of both Hindustani and Carnatic styles of playing.

Patri Ji has played Jugalbadi with such great artists like Ustaad Zakir Hussain, Yogesh Sami Ji-  just to name a few.
