SIDDHARTHA BELMANNU:
Born into a music loving family from Udupi, Karnataka, Siddhartha’s parents Usha and Prasad Belmannu recognized early on that he was endowed with a gifted voice fluent in 3 octaves. They enrolled him in Carnatic Classical Music. Later he went on to learn Hindustani Classical Music under Sri P R Manjunat – a well known Hindustani Musician. Later he had the good fortune of training under legendary musician PT Vinayak Torvi JI – Doyen of Gwalior and Kirana Gharana where he is undergoing vigorous training in the Gurukul system from the past 8 years.
From the age of 19 years , Siddhartha has been performing all across the country at prestigious platforms. He has also been performing juglbandi with various Hindustani and Carnatic vocalists and instrumentalists including Ricky Tej at many of his concerts. Siddhartha also excels in Marathi Abhang, Kannada Devaranama and Vachanas.
ON THE TABLA IS ROOPAK KALLURKAR
He is student of his Father PT Rajagopal Kallurkar. He had the privilege of accompanying some of the best of the the best like Praveen Godkindi JI, PT Kaivalya Kumar JI, Jayateerth Mevundi JI, Ambi Subramaniam, Vidwan Mysore Manjunath…to name a few.
ON HARMONIUM IS PRASAD KAMATH
Prasad’s musical journey began at the age 7 years under the guidance of Vidwan Mahabhaleshwar Bhagwath. Over the years Prasad honed his skills under the guidance of the renowned Harmonium Maestro Sr Sudhir Nayak who is a disciple of Legendary PT Tulsi Das Broker Ji.
Academically, Prasad hold B- Tech in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Karnataka. After working for 3 years with Reliance Industries, he is now pursuing his passion: Harmonium.
As an accompanist, he has give harmonium sangat to PT Rajan Sajan Mishra JI, PT Ram Deshpande Ji, PT Jayateerth Mevundi Ji, Vidhushi Apoorva Gokhale- to name a few
This is the first appearance by all the three young artists performing for IMS
