About the Artist
Bhuvanesh Komkali received his initial training from his father Shri Mukul Shivaputra and his grandfather Late PT Kumar Gandharva – one of the greatest names in Hindustani Classical Music. Later he came under the tutelage of his grandmother Smt Vasundhara Komkali. He is currently learning under Sri Madhup Mudgal at the Gandharva Mahavidyalaya in New Delhi.
He is the recipient of many awards including the most prestigious Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar of Sangeet Natak Akademi Award given to outstanding artists under the age of 40 years.
He will be accompanied by Sanjay Deshpande on Tabla and Abhishek Shinkar on Harmonium.
